Our professional mediators help couples avoid bitterness and destructive battles by identifying common ground and negotiating to resolve conflicts.

Mary Healey

Mary Healey is a graduate of Western New England University School of Law, a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce. Mary has been in private practice since 1999 serving as a court-appointed attorney for minor children in many custody and visitation cases. Having worked with children and families in the traditional, adversarial system, Marybelieves that mediation represents a better way for marriages to end.

Mediation encourages direct communication and allows parents to make the crucial family decisions. As a professional mediator since 2007, she has assisted parents in negotiating fair agreements in the best interests of their children as well as the family.

The assistance we got from the Divorce Mediation Center was very helpful in getting our paperwork together correctly and allowed us to complete the process without delays. Having your paperwork done correctly is key in getting through the court without issue. Our day in court, a couple in front of us had poorly completed paperwork and they were sent away by the judge to return another day with it corrected. I’m glad that wasn’t me.
